The Recreation Department oversees the scholarship process for the FBA. The process for filling out the financial assistance forms and furnishing all documents needed is located on the Documents page under the Financial Assistance folder. Once completed and submitted, the Recreation Department then either approves or denies the scholarship and puts a value on it of 50%, 75%, or 100% off the registration fee, based on the Federal guidlines set forth by the Dept. of Housing and Community Development. Once the process is fininished, the registrant is given a copy of the approved form and the amount off the registration fee. This signed application is then provided to the FBA for a reduction in the fee. This process is kept as confidential as possible. Limited program fee scholarships are available and every effort will be made to accommodate your request. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) association, FBA is commited to ensuring participation isn’t limited to ability to pay. Application for financil aid must be received by October 15th to be considered.
